“He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and it’s people are like
grasshoppers.” Isaiah 40:22
Sometimes I’m in awe.
God isn’t just in heaven.
He’s outside of time and space, looking down on us like
grasshoppers.
He is so much bigger and greater than us and I often forget
that.
That He is in control and sovereign over everything.
And how can I not believe that when I realize how big he is.
Cause if I believe he is that big and great, he must be sovereign.
So then I started contemplating things.
In that verse, it says we are like grasshoppers to Him. We
are so insignificant.
So why does He care for us, why does He take care and
provide for us.
Looking at the past year of my life, there have been many
big things that happened.
Some great while some sucked and were the worse months of my
life (ACL surgery and not being able to play soccer).
Yet in the midst of all of that, He was faithful, and
continued to seek after me when I was unfaithful to him, and he provided for
me.
WHY?
Why would the creator of the universe, the God so big that
time cannot hold him, why would he want to have a relationship with us, to talk
to us, and want us to know him?
Because He loves us.
Realizing the greatness of God, I am now able to put His
love in perspective.
